Compounding in the Region
Palacios also referred to the Practical Guide to moving the national rules on the proper preparation and quality control in the manufacture of compounding.
He highlighted as from the Ministry of Health, the Health Service of Murcia (SMS) and the group of pharmacists have advanced in this area through the renovation of the annex relating to compounding of the concert between the SMS and the Official College of Pharmacists Region of Murcia, which determine the conditions for the implementation of pharmaceutical care that is performed through pharmacies in the Community.
A document signed recently, which guarantees coverage of pharmaceutical care needs of the population covered in the SMS and assesses the performance of the pharmacist as the only trained health worker to develop these drugs.
In this regard, the head of the regional Health stated that "this annex meets the requirements of all stakeholders, provides a current view of the compounding and guarantees coverage of the pharmaceutical care needs of the population served by the SMS."
