About five hundred of the faithful in the neighborhood of the Immaculate Conception, in Sangonera la Verde, held last May 1 a great feast to crown the image of the Immaculate Conception.
This image was donated to the parish by a local resident 70 years ago.
The organizing committee has taken on a new silver crown, the parish priest, José Alberto Cánovas, blessed during a mass celebrated in the neighborhood.
In addition, residents have restored the sacred image, which was moved in procession to the parish church.
Municipal Board of the Green Sangonera commissioned to collaborate in the celebration of this event, which took the mayor-headman, Juan Jimenez.
About 300 faithful accompanied the Immaculate Conception during the coronation ceremony.
