The regional government has approved a grant of 24,000 euros to the city of Murcia to promote the development of training actions for prevention and control of smoking for health professionals and aid to smoking cessation for the general population.

Health municipal services of the consistory Murcia have a comprehensive intervention program on Smoking which has a smoker Care Unit that provides treatment for addiction through individualized medical advice.

In addition, different activities such as collaborating in the training activities on prevention and tobacco control to launch the Directorate General of Public Health, offer smoking cessation treatment for smokers, assist in the dissemination of materials and prevention activities snuff consumption and promoting smoke free.
