Representatives of about thirty associations yesterday attended a meeting at which the Councillor for Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-Cacho, presented the draft of a new tool that will allow them to measure and control energy consumption in its stores.
At the meeting, traders were able to present their suggestions and ideas to improve this tool.
The shops, the nearly 7,000 establishments that currently exist in the municipality, developed an audit of energy consumption, and once you show that it has been reduced, give the distinctive energy optimization as a sign that trade contributes to the fight climate change.
During 2009, carried out by consulting on energy efficiency, they also provide a web of self, as a support tool for data acquisition and subsequent exploitation, based on the procedure for measuring efficiency.

This action is part of an agreement that the City of Murcia has signed with the Association of Environment of the Region of Murcia (EEA) for the implementation of energy optimization distinctive shops in town.
