The President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated variant Sangonera La Verde, as an alternative to the current urban crossing, which will prevent the passage of more than 20,000 vehicles on average per day in the center of the hamlet of Murcia.

This new road infrastructure, "an example of modernity in our parishes," said the president, is in response to requests from neighbors, and that option allows congestion on Main Street in this town and hamlet out of all traffic trucks had increased in recent years by the proximity to the industrial area of San Ginés.

Funding for this work is included in a protocol signed between the Community and the city of Murcia, "fruit of the agreement and example of the necessary coordination between the Administration and Local Autonomy," said Valcarcel, who was accompanied at the ceremony opening by the mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara.

The variant of the industrial area of San Gines, its link with the highway from El Palmar, Sewer, and reaches Sangonera, representing a total of 3.5 kilometers, in its first phase, with a budget of 11.6 million euros.

The route connects with the highway MU-30 to the Reguerón, where he has built a bridge.

In addition, this new section also includes a total of six roundabouts, with two hits on the main street of Sangonera and other Integrated Transportation Centre of Murcia.

Another novelty of this road is to incorporate a bike path around the track, including bridge Reguerón.

With all this variant will be a substantial change in the movement and access throughout the hamlet and surrounding areas, and drivers provide access to other neighboring towns.

New access to the districts

In addition to this new route, the protocol with the City Council are also included the construction of coastal North and South.

Of these new roads in the hamlets of Murcia, is in progress the South Coast, which will connect the town of El Palmar with Torreagüera.

The cost will amount to 29 million euros and the project includes construction of three lanes in each direction that will relieve congestion on the roads between Murcia and El Palmar, and between El Palmar and Beniaján.

Likewise, in the same stage the North Coast, linking with the Torres Cabezo Ñora with a length of 12.5 kilometers with a total investment of 42.3 million euros.

Its construction will decongest roads RM-B3, which binds Espinardo, Guadalupe, La Ñora, Javalí New Javalí Viejo, and the RM-A4, which connects with Cobatillas Espinardo.
