The Union of University Publishers, which owns the University of Murcia, EDITUM, claimed today the book value of the learning process and a greater respect for copyright.
The Union issued a statement today on the occasion of World Book Day, notes that "from the university, as the highest institution responsible for higher education and research, we must work for the book is an object accessible, attractive, beautiful and soon. "
The statement recalled that the Spanish universities publish about seven percent of the total of the titles that are published in our country, so ask for "the recognition they deserve."
The Union has asked the government for equal treatment when assessing academic publications, "demanding a scale that only takes into account quality objectives and criteria that apply to all publishers."
