Thirty companies, agencies and associations participate in the 23 to 25 April in the Third Week of Health and Organic Food to be held on the promenade Alfonso X El Sabio de Murcia.
This new edition includes for the first time a selection of organic products companies.
The purpose of this fair is to inform the population about their health and "encourage" people to adopt a healthy lifestyle through diet, explained today the Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerda, who event presented by the organizers responsible for Eventya, Ana Otero, and President of the Council of Ecological Agriculture, Emilio Rico.
In total, 16 companies involved in organic food presented and marketed these days its products produced under organic practices.
Also, 13 companies in the field of health will be at this show where it will undergo medical tests free daily from 11:00 to 14:00, and 17:00 to 20:30.
The counselor explained that organic foods "help foster a culture of health", noting in this connection that "there is a close relationship between what we eat and health we have."
Stressed "positive benefits" obtained from these products which are grown "with the most suitable techniques to compete in quality, cutting edge and food security."
Cerda said that "it is necessary to move people the connection between food and health to develop healthy behaviors."
Said that this fair is also a promotion to raise awareness that we are a region Murcia leader in organic farming, with an area of over 37,000 hectares. "
