Approved the project for the construction of the new Avenida de Beniaján (08/04/2009)

A new venue will reduce traffic congestion in the area of Beniaján, Pain and First of May.

The Governing Board approved the project for the construction of the first installment of this great road that presents an alternative to the old road Beniaján, improving communications between the city and districts of the South Coast.

The new avenue of joining Beniaján Beniaján La Fica with and have a total length of 3 kilometers.

The first stretch of 2.7 km road will link the bridge and the Fica with Ronda de Levante (MU-300).

This section intersects with Miguel Indurain, where the construction of a roundabout, and connects with the MU-300, near the corner of Main Street Villanueva.

Avenue will have two lanes in each direction (3.25 m each), shoulder internal and external and central median.

The speed limit is 80 km / hour.

In the items are placed roundabouts Mediterranean vegetation, prairie and cypress.

The deadline for execution of works is 10 months and the investment of 3.5 billion euros.

The Governing Board approved the project and hiring specifications by open this first installment of the long avenue.

Urban development has led to the construction of this Avenue, under the General Plan.

Specifically, the new road structure the future developments to be located on the right bank of the river, at the height of Sorrows, and establish interconnections between the center of the city, Miguel Indurain and the future Ronda de Levante.

The new venue will serve as an urban road attracting large numbers of daily movements.
