156 people responsible for cleaning the streets during Holy Week (03/04/2009)

The Department of Street cleaning and collection of the City of Murcia has arranged a special cleaning service in connection with the processions of Easter and Spring Festival.

During Holy Week, from April 3 to April 12, will be attended 18 events between processions, parades and performances.

For Easter, the goal of cleaning service is to make the journey and the catchment areas of the processions are as soon as possible in optimum cleaning conditions for civic activity the following day.

The proposed arrangements will make the cleanup of the processions from the Good Friday until Easter Sunday.

Human resources allocated are composed of the operators in regular service plus a booster provided according to the needs of each procession.

So, this Easter a team of 156 people will undertake cleaning tasks throughout all the days of processions.

Similarly, 57 sweepers and flushers, sidewalks and driveways-work day for these cleaning tasks.

In total 156 days will be required to work overtime plus 76 hours overtime for cleaning machinery Easter along with the regular services of street cleaning and collection.
