The MARM course organized in Murcia "Efficient use of technologies for supply chain in the food industry" (01/04/2009)

The program will address, among other matters, the context of the food value chain in Spain, traceability, legal framework and the need for a standard system and how to implement Electronic Data Interchange.

This course will be taught by the Spanish Association of Commercial Coding (AECOC) is aimed at managers of SMEs in the wine industry, organic farming, as well as cooperatives and agricultural associations

The Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs has organized a course on "Efficient use of technologies for supply chain in the food industry", which will be given by the Spanish Association of Commercial Coding (AECOC) for today and tomorrow in Murcia.

This course, funded by the MARM is part of the challenge: "To know the key to generate efficiency in operations," the third edition of the Advanced Training Programme for Managers of Agricultural and Food Companies

The main objectives pursued are to provide criteria on the meaning and scope of the assurance of traceability in the commercial distribution of food products, knowledge of the coding system of goods and groups which protect the GS1 standards and labeling problems typical of supply chain.

For the program, will address, among other matters, the context of the food value chain in Spain, traceability, legal framework and the need for a standard system and how to implement the rules for symbolization, the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and alignment of master data of the main existing catalogs.

This course is aimed at managers in the food chain, preferably SME managers in the wine industry, organic farming, as well as cooperatives and agricultural associations, also in Toledo will be held during the 5th and 6th May.

The Advanced Training Programme for Managers of Agricultural and Food Companies fits into MARM policy to improve the knowledge of the food chain to get a better understanding of the food industry and the various actions taken by all actors in the chain .
