Currently in Spain había40 commercial courts, so that once made those approved in February by the Government, will be 55 courts, representing an increase of 37.5%.

This is in response to the significant increase in workload facing judicial units, derived from the difficulties that currently flows through the economy, while advances in the development of judicial due to the volume of litigation of the courts in operation.

The selection of the locations where the new units will be located has been made by judicial analysis of workload data in conjunction with the figures input matters, adopted by the General Council of the Judiciary for this type of trial.
