The advance in Murcia road infrastructure with Zapatero Fund's investment (30/03/2009)

Note from PSOE:

"The launch of the Fund works ZapaEl Socialist councilor Marcos Ros reported that the State Fund's strong investment in infrastructure and planning issues will reach nearly 17 million euros in just one year, which contrasts with the low rate of investments in the years of the PP in the Glorietatero in the municipality will be expedited to enable communications in Murcia, by investing in projects that improve, extend and reinforce the existing road infrastructure, "says the mayor of the Socialist Group Marcos Ros.

In this sense, Ros recalls that for many years, have been denouncing the one hand, the low rate at which run the major infrastructure in Murcia, on the other hand, poor planning and dimensioning of the same, in many cases, causes they remain limited to a few months of his inauguration.

7 major infrastructure works

With the launch of the Fund ZP, there are seven major road infrastructure projects will be launched in the municipality.

Thus, Ros has detailed the key activities in urban planning and road infrastructure:

Preparation and unfolding of the access bridge to the area of New Condomina, amounting to € 1,422,134.55.

Connecting road between Avenida Juan Carlos I and the southern access to the Campus de Espinardo, amounting to EUR 5,266,237.20

Implementation of a roundabout at Juan Carlos I to improve access from the north to the University Campus, amounting to € 3,143,707.95.

New road Sangonera la Verde, which provide an interface between access road MU-603 road and the new ring Sangonera la Verde, amounting to € 1,997,819.81.

Extension of road connection between the dry and Sangonera Sangonera la Verde, amounting to € 4,631,279.85.

Construction of two roundabouts in West Industrial Park, located at the intersection of Main Avenue and the streets Sculptor Roque López and Juan de la Cierva, respectively, amounting to € 306,815.53

Construction of roundabout at the southern district of Ronda, at the intersection of Florence Avenue Paseo General Ortín, amounting to € 131,220.97

"These seven pieces," says the councilor of the PSOE will come to improve internal connections within the municipality of Murcia, especially in the area of the Campus de Espinardo, the environment Sangonera la Verde, Nueva Condomina, Round and South West Industrial Estate .

The total amount of seven urban infrastructure works amounting to € 16,889,216, representing almost half of the budget provided by the entire Planning Department in 2009 in infrastructure (40 million euros).

High contrast

Ros also highlights the contrast implied by these executions and within one year, with more than 14 years of the PP in La Glorieta, at which have been built just a few kilometers from the extension of Miguel Indurain (which still awaits to be completed each year).

Similarly, the Socialist councilor recalls, still not working yet not a single mile of the Coastal North and South, under the General Urban Plan since 2001 and still running the early stages.

Similarly, Ros regrets that more emphasis has been made, by the municipal council, urban infrastructure works, allocating only 23% of the Fund Zapatero to these issues, when the municipality of Murcia still has big gaps in this area .

New Condomina, with state money

Finally, the PSOE mayor recalled that in the case of splitting of the access bridge to New Condomina is a work that developers should fund the partial plans in the area, and that in his day, and in approving Partial Plan in 2003, the Socialist Group said that access was poor, as has been demonstrated.
