Murcia University today celebrated the ceremony of eight grants, contracts predoctoral and postdoctoral two contracts, which are intended for the training of research personnel.
During the ceremony, which took place in the building, "Rector Soler Espinardo Campus, also proceeded to the delivery of aid to the incorporation of technical staff to support research that will benefit 21 people.
The Vice Chancellor for Research, Juan María Vázquez, acknowledged the financial support received from the Directorate General of Universities of the Autonomous Community and the Bank of Santander.
For its part, the territorial director of the bank, Luis María Conde, stressed "the Bank's involvement with universities and, in particular with that of Murcia, with which unites us affinities and common interests."
The Director General of Universities, Eduardo Osuna, noted the importance of the autonomous region attributed to the "quality research and training of human capital."
Osuna also referred to the increase of scientific production that was recorded in the public universities in the Murcia Region in recent years, "which shows that the resources available to them have achieved their objectives."
The rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, stressed the importance of research has for this educational institution and was grateful to the Regional Government and the Bank of Santander for their support, while congratulating the trainees and their managers.
The University's program allocates grants and predoctoral the amount of 491,621 euros and 250,000 euros postdoctoral contracts.
For its part, the amount going to the aid program for incorporating technical support staff to research amounts to 342,000 euros.
