A college student from San Buenaventura, in the delegation of Spanish students will visit Cyprus (26/03/2009)

The correspondent of the Youth Information Point (NEP) of the Colegio San Buenaventura, Adriana Muller, will be one of the ten young people who form part of the Spanish delegation which will participate in a European Youth Parliament to be held in Cyprus, March 29 April 5.

Adriana Buitrago Muller, a student of 1 high school at Colegio San Buenaventura de Murcia, has been selected among the 68 people who participated in the National Phase IX National Meeting of the Model European Parliament (MEP), to represent Spain.

The General Assembly which discussed and approved the resolutions made by the commissions formed by high school students in Spain held in Madrid, in the House of Representatives on 9 March.

The Model European Parliament program is an initiative of the Model European Parliament Foundation based in The Hague.

Born in 1994 and since 2000 in Spain is organized jointly by Fundación San Patricio and Caja Madrid.

Mercedes del Carmen Huertas, Adriana Buitrago Muller, Alejandro Marín D, St. Bonaventure College, IES Pérez Sandoval Irene Alcantara, Sewer and Rai Joshue Germain IES Floridablanca, addressed from its committees on issues such as the aging population, Water , Violence in the classroom and school bullying, the common policy of development aid and Child Protection: Television and the Internet.

Professor Claudia Orellana Sanz del Colegio San Buenaventura was commissioned to accompany the delegation Murcia.

Adriana has been selected among 80 young people in Spain, for their expertise, their training in the various issues and its high level of participation.

Notably, another student of Colegio San Buenaventura, Mercedes del Carmen Huertas, is in reserve in case a Spanish delegate unable to attend the International Phase, and had an interesting speech by an amendment against a clause favoring the total legalization of all immigrants to alleviate the problems of an aging population.

The Delegation of the Region of Murcia and the teacher of St. Bonaventure College, responsible to accompany and guide the young politicians have had the support and dedication of the Youth Council of the City of Murcia.
