The Mayor hands over two climbers Murcia a city flag waving on the summit of Makalu (23/03/2009)

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has a flag of Murcia entregardo climbers Juan Carlos García Gallego and José María López Rodríguez, who next month will undertake an expedition to Nepal to conquer Makalu.

With its 8,463 meters, it is the fifth highest mountain on earth and technically more difficult than Everest.

Both athletes belonging to the Mountaineer Club Murcia, the town placed the flag on top when the conquest.

The meeting, which was held this morning in the city, has also assisted the President of the Mountaineering Federation of Murcia, Antonio Ruiz, and President of the Club Mountaineer, Arturo Pineda, who in turn , delivered to the House a logo of the entity it represents.
