Councilman Sports offers this evening a reception for participants at City Hall
Inacua Sports Centre is hosting this weekend the Championship Tour of Spain Adapted Swimming.
Murcia medalists will receive a high level with future stars of the sport.
In total, some 250 athletes with a physical disability, visual or cerebral palsy.
This championship will be held tomorrow and Sunday, 21 and 22 March.
Participants come from territorial federations of Valencia, Aragon, Baleares, Asturias, Galicia, Castilla la Mancha, Castilla León, Extremadura, Murcia, Andalusia, Canary Islands, Madrid, Navarra, Basque Country and Catalonia.
The competition system is anti-clockwise.
The swimmers with the fastest times will advance to the next phase.
The tests were held in the indoor 50 meters (8 lanes) of Inacua.
The championship is organized by the Sports Federation of the Physically Disabled of the Region of Murcia, the Adapted Swimming Club Murcia, the Spanish Federation of the Physically Handicapped Sports, Sports Spanish Federation of cerebral palsy, Spanish Sports Federation for the Blind and Department of Sports City of Murcia, headed by Miguel Cascales.
Spain is the fourth world power in swimming adapted, behind China, Australia and South Africa.
In the Beijing Olympics the Spanish athletes achieved 31 medals.
Councilman Sports today offers a reception for participants in the Championship.
The event was held at 19 am in the Plenary Hall of the City Council.
The competitions start tomorrow at 8.30 am and end at 19.30.
On Sunday the hours will be from 8.30 to 12.30.
