Megía: "It must unite and colabración of all administrations to eradicate truancy" (12/03/2009)

"The joint effort and cooperation of all administrations, as well as all components of the educational community is essential to achieving the elimination of truancy."

This has been one of the demonstrations that have exposed this morning the Deputy Mayor for Education and Personal, Pilar Megía at the opening of the Fourth Regional Seminar on the Prevention of Truancy, which has taken place in the Corner Restaurant Huertano of Murcia.

Megía has highlighted some of the actions and programs carried out from the city of Murcia in this sense, at the same time has highlighted the work of educators and others working around school absenteeism.

Also responsible for Education in the City of Murcia has welcomed the announcement of the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Carrascosa Sotoca Constantine, the establishment of a Regional Plan of School Absenteeism.

"Undoubtedly, the implementation of this Regional Plan is an essential element for all municipalities in the Region of Murcia work on a joint project of homogeneous lines and actions to achieve our goal."

Megía Pilar has also said it will base plan on which shall be recorded all actions carried out in different areas dealing with truancy.

The Fourth Regional Seminar on the Prevention of Truancy has been organized by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, in collaboration with the city of Murcia.

The day program consists of a round table to take the title: "Absenteeism in the legislation, another round table that would address the absenteeism in the field everyday and a workshop with the participation of all attendees in the .
