Councilman Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, is considering convening a national competition of fireworks and included in the forthcoming Feria de Murcia and promotion of our town and the fireworks of Murcia, which are among the most famous in the world - not for nothing that some of them have won prizes in such contests.
Rafael Gomez held this morning a meeting with representatives of the Association of Pyrotechnics in the Region of Murcia, with whom he has taken stock of the contributions made by the City of Murcia with this guild, and plans to launch some initiatives.
In the words of the council, "Murcia is also promoting the activity of fireworks, recognize the work and encourage Murcia holidays and traditions, its spectacular that crosses borders."
The future of pyrotechnics competition would, in principle, national, and aims at promoting the activity of this sector, while of greater appeal to our parties, as happens in cities like San Sebastian, or Alicante.
