139 new underground containers for wards and parishes (09/03/2009)

The containers buried in the town will be five times this year.

The Governing Board has given approval to the award of the work of burial of 139 containers both in the town and in villages.

The general group is responsible for this work, in which it has invested over 5.7 billion euros.

Thus, the hamlets, where you will install a total of 62, will for the first time these hidden containers.

Specifically placed in Barriomar, Cabeza de Torres, Casillas, Churra, the strut, Espinardo, St. Pius X, James and Zaraiche, Zarandona, Beniaján, Llano de Brujas, Bacons Bridge, San José de la Vega, TorreagĂźera, Algezares, Barrio Progress, El Palmar, La Alberca, Los Dolores, Los Garres, Patińo, Santiago el Mayor, Santo Angelo, Guadalupe, Nuevo Javalí, San Ginés, the Green and Javalí Sangonera Viejo.

Underground containers will also be installed in all districts of the town.

Among the salient points where containers are hidden Artillery Barracks Street, Paseo Marques de Corvera, Avenida Reyes Católicos, Calle Santa Maria de Vedruna, Doctor Quesada Street, Calle Juan de la Cierva, North Avenue Round , the Plaza Circular, Ronda de Levante Avenue, Calle Jaime I, Ronda de Garay Avenue, Avenue Antonete Gálvez, José Loustau Rector Avenue, Abenarabi Avenue, Avenida Juan Carlos I and Avenida Primero de Mayo.

With the burial of the containers are able to diminish the visual impact, increase free space on public roads and minimize the inconvenience caused by waste.

The installation of each one of the underground civil work consists of excavation and construction of concrete pit, hydraulic platform to raise and lower vessels, hydraulic cover a specific mailbox for each container and two containers.

Besides these, other means are required since it is necessary to adapt this service vehicles currently in service connecting a system capable of powering the lift platforms and containers to carry out waste collection.
