Line 1 will have 28 stops, including an intermodal Plaza Circular (06/03/2009)

The joint venture formed by FCC and Comsa build a total of 28 stops at nearly 18 miles of tram route.

This will require between a stop and the next there will be an average distance of 450 meters.

The stops are distributed as follows: in the branch that connects the Plaza Circular and New Condomina be located a total of twelve, on the stretch of Plaza Circular University of Murcia, eleven and the Catholic University shuttle to four stops.

All stops will be equipped with canceling machines, public address systems, service information, video surveillance camera and carport.

Most notable is the intermodal stop in Plaza Circular, on the one hand, the tram stop, on the other, buses and also have a special design.

Remember that throughout this section (from Juan Carlos I stop closest to the plaza to the Fleet Avenue) a tram go without catenary.

On the other hand, Murcia will continue to travel free on the section 0 of the tram, which runs along the Avenida Juan Carlos I.

Although it was established that the ticket would be free for 30 months, the Joint Venture Company formed by FCC and Comsa, awarded the construction of Line 1, has included in its proposed expansion of the free until it's running Line 1.

From that date the ticket price will be determined by the City.

As the speed of the convoys, it will reach 23 kilometers per hour in the two sections in V and 33 miles per hour on the shuttle to the Catholic University.

This means that the tram will take 33.52 minutes in the section on V and 6.14 minutes in the shuttle.

The frequency between trains will be eight minutes during peak hours and twelve-peak, while the shuttle is 15 to 20 minutes.

The joint venture formed by FCC and Comsa have proposed that the hours of operation of the tram is from 6.30 to 22.30 on weekdays, from 7 to 22 pm on Saturdays and from 7.30 to 21.30 hours on Sundays and holidays.

City Hall will definitely establish the hours of operation of the tram.
