Two professors from the University of Murcia involved with other scientists from Spain and abroad on research that aims to analyze the causes of the rise and crisis of the Royal Spanish Navy and has funding of 360,000 euros.
These are Professors Juan Andreo García and Juan José Sánchez Baena, involved in this study with other scientists from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Santiago de Compostela and Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED).
Also, the project, which runs the Andalusian university professor "Pablo de Olavide" Juan Marchena, with the participation of other researchers of American and Canadian universities and Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela and Uruguay.
This work includes both shipbuilding and daily life in the Spanish Navy in the late eighteenth century, together with an analysis of logbooks, crew training, state of the rookeries in Latin and science and techniques developed to War Independence.
