Miguel Ãngel Cámara Brussels proposes a change to more sustainable modes of transport to fight climate change (05/03/2009)

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, acting president of the European Mobility Forum (Eurocities), opened yesterday in Brussels a landmark meeting on the Action Plan on Urban Mobility.

This meeting will take place in the European Parliament.

The event began with welcoming remarks by Miguel Ángel Cámara, which interventions sigueron key political leaders.

Among the topics discussed is the search for solutions to the financing of urban transport, the promotion of sustainable mobility in urban areas and the need to create a Permanent European Forum on Urban Transport.
