The City uses an innovative system for pest control of rodents and cockroaches (05/03/2009)

The Department of Health of the City of Murcia, who heads Fulgencio Cervantes, presented today at the conference Urban Pest an innovative information management system to keep out cockroaches and rodents.

The system allows real-time information about what is the status of treatment for insects and rodents in any of the 40,000 municipal sanitation scuppers.

With the Department manages the historic draw a map of the population of insects and rodents which allows better control that population.

The system is that information processing and monitoring carried out by technicians in each scupper is sent via a PDA via satellite to a computer program that assigns a map with all points of the city sewer, the information that gutters in real time.

In addition, the Department of Health has a warning system that allows citizens either by telephone or Internet to denounce the presence of insect pests or rodents, and the company awarded the baits placed in service within 72 hours.

We must warn citizens that the treatment is effective from one week to ten days later, when the animal eats the bait.
