The Department of Environment and Urban Quality also invites tourists to visit the Trail Walk 10,000 steps (02/03/2009)

That everyone can discover the Path Walk 10,000 steps.

This is the purpose of the Department of Environment and Urban Quality and the Mountaineering Federation of the region that have produced a comprehensive booklet in both Spanish and English, which will allow tourists can also make this interesting and healthy journey.

It includes a map of the town which states the urban local path MU SL-10, in addition to its eight connections to the various districts.

Another point is specified and the 27 monuments that can be seen to take the tour.

The booklet is complete with the trail crossing sites and links to the districts and the addresses and telephone numbers of the municipality.

Finally, it includes a number of recommendations for the urban local path, such as clothing and comfortable shoes and avoid the middle of the day in hot weather.

In total 2,500 copies have been printed in this booklet will be distributed in community centers and hotels.

Remember that the path you walk in 10,000 steps, which is the recommended distance that must go daily to be in good physical shape and equivalent to nearly seven miles.

This route runs through landscaped areas and pedestrian streets of the city or renovated.

The start and end of the route will be the Glorieta de Spain.

You will pass the Old Bridge, Floridablanca, Convalescence, Cathedral, Tatters, Santo Domingo, Jaime I, Garden of San Esteban, Garden Silk Museum Salzillo, Pasaje under highway, the four Stones, Pier and map San Francisco.

The slope is 25 meters.

In addition, the center ring of this path are added links from the eight districts of Murcia.

These connections are also marked with the symbol itself of the local trails (white and green).

In the design of these links has been taken into account the relative transit areas (gardens, large sidewalks, pedestrian streets), buildings, plazas and cultural environments and areas that best reflect the wealth of the neighborhoods.

Thus, the City Council wants to further enhance pedestrian access to downtown Murcia.
