Summary of proposals of the Socialist group in Parliament on 26 February 2009 (26/02/2009)

Note from PSOE:

The Socialist Group has presented today to the plenary the following motions and questions:

DEFENSE MOTION Tajo-Segura.

The PP has rejected the proposal submitted by the PSOE in defense of the Tajo-Segura.

MOTION INTENDED TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROTOCOL AND THE CONVENTION AND THE VIABILITY OF REAL MURCIA

The Socialist councilor Marcos Ros has defended a motion in Parliament to be fully observed the Framework Protocol of 1999 signed by Mayor House and the planning agreement in 2001, and well able to overcome the difficult economic situation facing the Royal murcia and assure the defense of the interests of all from Murcia.

After the motion presented by the PSOE has reached an agreement Parliament.

STOPPAGE MOTION TRANSFER AGREEMENT GOVERNING BOARD OF LAND O `BETHLEHEM FOUNDATION

María Dolores Abellon The mayor has submitted a proposal to halt the agreement of the Governing Board on the sale of a municipally owned parcel of 5,841 m2 New Condomina Partial Plan to the Foundation O 'Bethlehem until results are known of the proceedings opened by the Prosecutor, following a complaint filed by the Ombudsman for alleged irregularities in the management of the foundation in the child protection centers.

After the motion presented by the PSOE has agreed to open a plenary reporting period until the results of investigations instituted by the prosecution.

MOTION ASKING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE

María Dolores Abellon plenary proposed the development of a Municipal Plan and Development Assistance in the Plan will include policies and programs of public awareness on external cooperation is involved where the social, economic and business of the municipality.

The PP has rejected this motion.

MOTION TO START SEVERAL MEASURES TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY OF WOMEN AND LABOUR ON THE OCCASION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

The three political parties have reached an agreement and have filed a joint motion that sought equality in relation to the economic and working conditions of women.

ALTERNATIVE MOTION ELECTRIC RATES

The Socialist councilor Alfonso Navarro has filed a motion alternative to the PP which calls for a commitment from City Council to develop a campaign on electricity consumption and billing arrangements.

Another point contained in this proposal is to require the Government of Spain that the electric rate increase approved in 2009, the CPI adjustment, like the City itself should be required to modify and adjust to the rise in CPI of all municipal taxes, fees and public costs of the municipality, including IBI, IVTM, ISCI and prices for water, trash, sewer and transportation.

Also, the Consistory shall contact the Government of Spain to a decision to improve the current billing system.

In turn the government team in the city of Murcia will address consumer organizations to coordinate joint action to enable better protection of citizens, and urge the CARM to open an information package to Iberdrola for alleged irregularities the prices charged to consumers.

The PP has rejected this alternative, proposing that municipal taxes, fees and public prices were adjusted to the Consumer Price Index.

In addition to the motions, Socialist Group members have presented the following plenary OTHER BUSINESS:

Spokeswoman Maria José Alarcón has submitted another request asking that the City of Murcia, in the shortest possible time, enable and install a point in the municipal nursing for women of Murcia, where they can breast-feed their babies.

Councilman Alfonso Navarro has petitioned the House for the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Interior to improve public safety in the municipality and thus to strengthen collaboration and coordination between the Security Forces of the State and local police Murcia.

Also asked Abellon responsible for Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-Cache, since one of the gardens of urbanization Montegrande II, Torreagüera is going to fix thanks to Zapatero Fund, including the PP arrangement the other garden in the city budget, 2009, by the proximity of the two and that would look bad that one was fixed and the other does not.

The PSOE in the city of Murcia has raised several questions to plenary:
