A service guarantee the perfect state of the eight biggest gardens of the town (25/02/2009)

The City Council wants to ensure the safety and health of the gardens to the Murcia can enjoy the green areas of the municipality.

The Board of Governors approved the specifications that will hire a firm to conduct the surveillance and control of the state of the gardens.

The projects being developed by the contractor are:

- To detect faults in the irrigation system

- Check for cracks and damage to the lighting elements

- Check the status of the decorative elements of the garden, street furniture, playgrounds ...

- To detect the faults of seasonal flowers and ornamental plants.

- Monitor the state of the pavement of the halls and rooms

- Provide users the information they need on the gardens.

- Collect the suggestions and complaints from users.

Initially this service is provided on the biggest gardens in the municipality: Malecón, Floridablanca, Fame, Hall, Salitre, Silk, Artillery Barracks and Chinese garden.

In each of these green areas is a person in uniform and with a mobile phone or radio to contact the local police, cleaning services, electrical maintenance, Parks and Gardens or any other necessary.

In addition, the company will have a place with the necessary means to receive calls 24 hours a day.

According to the specifications, the schedule will be in winter, on weekdays from 17 to 20 hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 to 13 hours and 17 to 20 hours.

In summer, these hours: Weekdays 18 to 22 hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 to 13 hours and 18 to 22 hours.

The investment is 200,000 and the duration of the nearly two years until December 31, 2010.
