The new Municipal Information Service last year received more than 200,000 consultations and negotiations (23/02/2009)

Only ten Spanish cities enjoy this recognition that guarantees a prompt human reply

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning the prestigious certification of its Charter Aenor Services Municipal Information Service.

This certification guarantees the quality of service and provides greater confidence among citizens in fulfilling their commitments.

For the City of Murcia is a new step towards a model of municipal management quality.

Chamber Mayor explained that certification is particularly relevant to being a pioneer in the city of a great city and be developed through a demanding methodology.

Only ten Spanish consistories have certified quality, among which are Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca and Vitoria.

The development of the Service Charter, which has been made by the Expert Consulting Centre, Quality and Process El Corte Inglés, has meant, among other benefits, a continuous service improvement and corrective action as assessed by the degree of compliance .

Similarly, attention has been paid to the motivation of the Information Service, improving the relationship with the user and citizen information services that can claim the rights they have, access lines and standards quality service is committed to continuing.

Personal attention

Miguel Angel House has taken the opportunity to assess the working memory of the Service, during 2008, handled a total of 205,186 consultations and negotiations.

Only in the area of personal attention, care total was 71,903 in January to December 2008.

Since June 20, 2008, the date on which the change of location of the facilities to the Plaza Apostles, there were 32,128 care.
