The Socialist Party in the Assembly asks the Minister of Health why it was not built the doctor's office in Old Javalí (11/02/2009)

The head of the Socialist Group Health, Domingo Carpena, presented at the Regional Assembly initiatives on medical office Javalí Viejo.

In particular, the socialist MP has tabled a question for oral answer in plenary addressed to the Minister of Health, M ª Ángeles Palacios, to explain what were the reasons why that has not built a Doctor in the hamlet of Javalí Viejo .

Carpenter recalled that the October 28, 2006, at a meeting held in this parish, the then director general of Planning of the Ministry of Health along with a deputy mayor of Murcia presented a blueprint for building a medical practice in this area .

This infrastructure was being sought for a long time by the residents of Old Javalí.

That same year in the consistory of Murcia Municipal budgets included provision for the construction of that office with the grant for the Ministry of Health.

There was then a commitment to put the first stone on March 30, 2007.

Despite all this, the doctor was never built, which has led to unrest and mobilization of residents.

The Socialist deputy to collect and confirm all the information, has requested a copy of the report prepared in 2006 by the Directorate General of Health Planning on the suitability of building that infrastructure.

It has also demanded a copy of the letter delivered to the residents of Old Javalí in February 2007 by the then regional secretary of Citizen Services, Health Planning and Drug Addiction, Pablo Fernández Abellán, where the Ministry will fund up to 70 percent of the medical office building.

Carpena further requests a copy of all documents or reports received from the Ministry for the municipality of Murcia concerning the construction and / or financing of that office in the hamlet of Murcia.

Socialist MP said that "both Health and the City of Murcia has deceived the residents of Old Javalí that after promising to build a medical office, they are no longer drawn to such an extent that yesterday even refused to receive them in the Ministry. "
