Families, prinicipal target of education seminars and workshops organized in the Majal Blanco (03/02/2009)

The Department of Education and crew has already released the schedule of seminars and workshops of Nature in the Municipal Park White Majal for February to May, 2009 (13th edition), which propose new topics and activities.

With this initiative the City of Murcia wants to continue raising awareness in a fun and interesting natural and cultural heritage, thus constituting an excellent tool for promoting environmental awareness and citizen participation in improving our environment.

Since the beginning of seminars and workshops Majal Blanco in 1996, the municipal supply has been renewed and adapted its proposals, counting with the facilities of the Hall of Nature, and specialist teachers in both thematic and in energizing groups during leisure time.

In recent editions has been giving special importance to the participation of families, given the excellent condition of Majal Blanco to host activities tailored to the characteristics of these groups.

Also, some seminars include conducting a route-related environmental issue addressed, which increases the attractiveness of these activities.

The schedule for winter-spring 2009 includes the following seminars and workshops:

Workshop on introduction to bonsai. "

7 and 8 February.

"Hiking and technical guidance in nature."

14 and 15 February.

"The Region of Murcia, a land of wines: introduction to wine tasting."

21 and 22 February.

Includes map "In the land of wine" on Sunday 22, departing at 10 h.

"Flora and fauna introduced: identification and environmental effects."

28 February and 1 March.

"Come to Majal Blanco: nature activities for the whole family."

7 and 8 March.

Aimed at family groups with children from 6 years.

Workshop on fingerprint identification and signs in nature. "

14 and 15 March.

"Flora and vegetation of the Region of Murcia."

21, 22, 28 and 29 March.

Includes Environmental Route "Discover the flora of the region of Murcia on Sunday March 22, departing at 10 h.

"Workshop on introduction to digital photography in nature."

4 and 5 April.

"Workshop on comets and other gadgets to play with the family." 25 and 26 April.

Aimed at family groups with children from 6 years.

Workshop on traditional techniques of straw braid. "

"Workshop on Mediterranean cuisine, healthy diet and green."

16 and 17 May.

"El Mar Menor with different eyes."

23 and 24 May.

Includes Environmental Ruta "El Mar Menor with different eyes" on Sunday 24, departing at 10 h.

All workshops and seminars are held in the Hall of Nature, based in Forest Park Municipal "Majal Blanco (Carrascoy Regional Park-El Valle).

The activities schedule is: Saturday, 10 to 17 hours (required to bring water and food), and Sundays from 10 to 14 hours.

Those Sunday to carry out an environmental route schedule will be 10 to 18 hours, and need to carry food and water.

Participants will access on their own until the Mulberry Square (Private Torregüil) at 9.45 hours, which will be received by a monitor that will organize transportation to the Hall of Nature.

Environmental routes start at 10 of the City of Murcia (Spain roundabout) and will be available bus.

The activities are aimed at the general public over 16 years, except those in which specified that are open to families.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The number of places is limited (25 participants).

Enrollment in seminaries is six euros per person.

These activities are free for over 65 years and under 16 years (activities for family groups).

Participants will be presented with a folder with the necessary documentation for the workshop.

Participants who attend 75% of the sessions of the conference may request a certificate of attendance.

Application forms: Entering six euros per person per seminar CajaMurcia account CCC: 2043-0001-25-0101000187 (City of Murcia, indicating participant's name and name of the seminar / workshop to do).

Send a copy of the receipt of payment by fax (968 21 41 99) or by hand to the Environmental Protection Service of the Municipality of Murcia, within 5 working days after confirmation of the reservation fee.

Children under 18 must submit, in addition, the authorization of the tutor / a.
