IU + Greens in the Regional Assembly has submitted an initiative that calls for the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, under the Autonomous Region, directed the archaeological excavations in the garden of San Esteban, in the heart of Murcia.
The regional deputy of that political party, José Antonio Pujante, also proposed that the said agency to appoint a director responsible for carrying out exploration in order to "ensure that the asset valuation is carried out under criteria governed by the common interest."
He indicated that the assumption of the work by the Department of Fine Arts will prevent the control of these "left in the hands of the builder, who will undoubtedly seek to minimize the value of any remains that are in the area "he said.
