Summary of proposals of the Socialist Group in Parliament on 29 January 2008 (29/01/2009)

The Municipal Socialist Group today announced the following motions fully and questions:

EMERGENCY MOTION FOR ALL POLITICAL GROUPS ARE SHOWING AGAINST INSOLVENCY AND IN DEFENSE OF THE CLUB REAL MURCIA.

The PP has presented an alternative that contains all the arguments espoused by the PSOE, so that proposal was voted unanimously.

MOTION TO REJECT THE STATUS OF THE GAZA STRIP

The PSOE Councillor María Dolores Abellon today called on Parliament that the City Council add a request for cessation of violence in Gaza and the dispatch from Murcia to assist civilian victims of war.

The PP has submitted an alternative proposal that does not include any type of humanitarian aid being a mere declaration of intent.

EXPANDING ONLINE TRAVEL MOTION 37b

María Dolores Abellon The mayor has defended today in full the urgent need to expand the route of the bus line 37b (which makes the journey from the square of the Red Cross to The Dry) by urbanization Montegrande, to be placed in shelters stops that are designated for this purpose and installed pedestrian lights pulsing sound in San Javier highway, right near the bus stop.

Adopted unanimously urge the CARM as to meet the three points of the motion.

MOTION FLEET INSPECTION AND REPAIR BUSES

The socialist mayor José Manuel Abellán PP has proposed to proceed urgently to carry out a review of the state of the bus fleet in Murcia and requiring the operating company for this service to remedy the many deficiencies reported again and again for many citizens and from the Socialist Group.

The PP has rejected this proposal.

MOTION FOR LEAVE NO MORE DEN OPEN TO LARGE AREAS

Sebastian Peñaranda Councilman has proposed measures to grant no more licenses to open a hypermarket until structural measures are not put real support to the traditional trade and a real commitment to balanced development.

This motion was rejected.

In addition to the motions, Socialist Group members have submitted to the plenary the following questions:

Councilman José Antonio García Baños has submitted several questions related to the environment.

In one of them requested information to the PP on the outcome of the campaign "Plant for the Planet.

Plant for Murcia, where he announced the planting of 12,000 trees before the end of the year in the municipality.

The second question refers to the red weevil infestation, for now, ended with 390 copies of palms in Murcia.

In this sense, the socialist mayor again asked to be responsible for this area on the steps that permanently, you plan to put in place to eradicate the pest and when you act.
