On February 8 the new season begins Itineraries and environmental pathways (29/01/2009)

Start a new season of walks and environmental routes, organized by the Department of Environment and Urban Quality.

The new program, which will run from February through May, will allow Murcia visit different places of the municipality and the region.

In addition to tours of the White Majal, the program includes visits to unique sites of cultural and environmental heritage of the region, such as Contraparada, Castle Harbor or the Mar Menor.

New this semester are incorporated new routes that had not been held before, as is the bike route between Murcia and Contraparada, or path 'Mar Menor with new eyes' and to be held 'In the land of wine'

Environmental Routes are free, but places are limited and must confirm attendance by calling 968 212 518.

Begin at 10 am from the meeting point established for each of them, and end at 14 hours.

Participants should bring lunch and water.

The planned routes are:

Sunday, February 8: Route PR-1 "Way of the Arejos."

Sunday, February 15: Route PR-2 "Cuevas del Vulture."

Sunday, March 1: Itinerary "Rambla del Puerto de la Cadena and Castle Harbour."

Sunday, March 8: Route by bicycle, "Murcia-Contraparada."

Sunday, March 15: Route PR-24 "Eagle Peak."

Sunday, March 29: Route PR-3 "Barranco Blanco."

Sunday, April 5: Itinerary "Up the Watchmaker in the Path of Columns."

Sunday, April 26: Itinerary "Crossing the White Mahal."

Sunday, May 10: Route PR-1 "Trail of Arejos."

In addition to itineraries, routes are scheduled to Environmental tours to present other unique environments of our region.

The routes are made by bus, and the number of participants is limited (25 people) as is necessary to register by phone reserving 968 212 518.

The same price is three euros, free for over 65 years.

These paths begin at 10 am from the Square of Spain, and ending at 18 hours.

Participants should bring food and water throughout the day.

The planned routes are:

Sunday, February 22: Route "For the land of wine."

Sunday, March 22: Route botanical "Discover the flora of the Region of Murcia."

Sunday, May 24: Ruta "El Mar Menor with different eyes."

All these activities are aimed at the general public, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
