The Department of Fire Prevention and Extinction of the City of Murcia has received this weekend a total of 113 emergency calls as a result of strong wind gusts.

During the 24th and 25th of January the town of Murcia has been on orange alert due to adverse weather, mainly due to strong winds.

Thus, throughout this period the staff of the Fire Department has acted in 96 of the 113 emergency calls produced from different parts of the municipality of Murcia.

76% of the ads (76 calls) have been technical assistance related to damage caused by the strong wind, 18% (17 notices) have been cases of fires of various types, and 3% (3 ads) was treated emergency to rescue people who have been locked in elevators.
