Another look at everyday objects, Chema Madoz

Not everything is what it looks and handles Chema Madoz expose him.

Hidden between the everyday there are new worlds.

New dimensions of the hand of metaphor alter the perception of immediate reality.

The absurd, the paradox and humor come together in the studio of the photographer.

By an intelligent and sensitive handling of objects, individually and order Chema Madoz, confronts and manipulates, seeking the counterpoint between the essence of things and their latent meanings.

Chema Madoz

Chema Madoz (Madrid, 1958), studied history at the University Complutense of Madrid, between 1980-83, that simultaneously with his photographic training in the CIS.

He staged his first exhibition of photography in 1985, to be followed by numerous group and solo exhibitions both in Spain and other countries.

In the early nineties and has a defined language and personal.

Their world is centered on the unusual and poetic presence of the objects selected and available in intimate settings, built by the same, and that black and white photography, drawing from them a light and high-capacity breath of seduction for the viewer .

Kodak Award (1991), National Photography Prize (2000) PhotoEspaña Award (2000) and author of the biennial Featured Fotofest Houston (2000) has had solo exhibitions including at the CGAC in 1999 and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia 1999-2000.
