The Department of Health and Social Services City of Murcia allocated around 61,000 euros to promote the full school integration of immigrant children from ethnic minorities and socially disadvantaged families.

These grants are intended primarily for school transport, dining and educational material and sports.

This initiative aims to improve the living conditions of children.

The Department led by Fulgencio Cervantes commitment to children and adolescents, increasing by 27.69% of investments in this sector, amounting to 1,643,450 euros budget in the coming year.

The main actions are improving the provision of socio-educational resources, combating truancy, improving school performance, develop leisure and free time ... 12,000 children have participated in 2008 in activities planned by the Department.
