The fifth session of 'Clubtura' morning shows three animated shorts Mexican (18/12/2008)

Clubtura `cycle 'organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism devoted its fifth meeting at the Mexican animation display on Friday, the shorts' to the bone', 'white syndrome' and 'no support'.

The three films, winning numerous film festivals, have one common theme: `The Day of the Dead '.

The first short 'to the bone' by René Castillo, will be screened at 23:00 on Atomic.

The film tells the story of a man who comes into the world of the dead and is greeted by characters from beyond the grave, such as worms and skulls.

René Castillo made this short with the technique of `stop-motion ', where in addition to direct this work is the co-producer, co-host and writer.

'White syndrome' of Lourdes Villagomez will be shown at 23:30 hours in the FA (Art Forum).

This short tells the imaginary biography of a girl who after a tragic death, wakes up in a fantasy world where he seeks his happiness.

Lourdes Villagomez mixes different techniques of animation and images of daily life in film, video and installations.

She is the founder of 'The animating' collective research, production and dissemination of independent animation

The latest short film on Friday is 'no support' by Antonio Urrutia and René Castillo, who will screen at 00:00 pm in the plasterwork.

Fascinated with clay animation, make a film which tells the story of a man who lives in a hostile world and decides to commit suicide by throwing himself from a building.

In the fall, is rescued by the charms of the world of advertising.

This short film has won numerous awards including The Golden Space Nedle Award for Best Short Film at the Seattle International Festival of Washington (USA-1998), the Columbus d'Or for Best Short and Audience in the XXIV Latin American Film Festival Huelva (Spain-1998), and the Audience Award at the Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival (Brazil-1998), among other competitions.

The three films will be re-projected onto the FA on Friday 26 December. Clubtura `'is a program launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia and is coordinated by the Murcia director Gonzalo Ballester, Goya Award nominee for his documentary 'La Serenissima'.

Previous editions have covered topics including immigration, changes in life, travel and old age.
