The UCAM offer on Friday December 19 at 20:30 pm in the Church of Anas, the traditional Christmas concert.
The musical event will be borne by Soeru Marie Keyrouz and the group L'Ensemble of Pax, formation composed of musicians from all countries and all religions of the Near and Middle East, united by a common desire to play spiritual music.
The prestigious musical training, offered under the title "Christmas in the East and West", an attractive repertoire consists of sacred music evocative East and West, as the O Sanctissima of Beethoven, Cesar Franck Ave Maria, Jusqu'Ã quand, Joseph Mouannes, Touba Nahum or carol Adeste Fideles, among others.
Sister Marie Keyrouz, was born in Deir-El-Ahmar, near the Roman city of Baalbek (Lebanon) and a member of the Congregation des SURS Basiliennes Chouretites and president of the National Institute of Sacred Music in Paris and a PhD in Musicology Religious University of the Sorbonne.
An impressive feature of this religious Lebanese efforts to combine their artistic aspirations with their beliefs and their vocation to serve God and others, that led him to turn his music into an effective instrument of evangelization and brotherhood among men.
By Maronite and Melkite family through your faith, Sister Keyrouz certainly embodies the venerable art traditions of the Eastern Church.
The hard work of Sister Marie Keyrouz in the defense of values such as tolerance, universality and ecumenism, allowed it to be internationally recognized as the great Lady of Song 'Christian'.
