Murcia was recovered 15 dioramas depicting a nativity scene with sites in the city and the garden (16/12/2008)

Murcia municipal program that went along with the Department of Popular Culture, has recovered a collection of dioramas that make up one of the most splendid nativity Murcia which has the City of Murcia.

It is fifteen dioramas which represent various scenes of the birth of Jesus Christ and were made to the city about a decade ago by the craftsmen of the Peña La Pava.

During this Christmas, the dioramas have been assigned to the parish of Our Lady of the Angels, in Sangonera la Verde.

The choice of this parish to present the recovery of the crib is the collaboration of the Municipality of Murcia in the acts of the 50th Anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the landlady, who begin to develop from next January 1.

The dioramas representing, among other scenes, the flight into Egypt, the presentation of Jesus in the temple, the Adoration of the Kings, the killing of the innocent or the birth.

Each scene is set in a different part of the city or the garden.

In addition, dioramas also include landmarks of the region such as the castles of Lorca and Mula, the Sacred Heart of Monteagudo or other folkloric prints.

All figures that make up the crib are made of clay art pieces in the tradition of Murcia.

The technique used for making dioramas possible to achieve great perfection in the details and finishing compounds, for example, tiny barrel tiles, pots of carnations, skirting tile, and all sorts of household utensils.

On the other hand, the lighting of the playing pieces at different times of day and to simulate storms and wind.
