Laboratory Experiences and Trends continues its program with a lecture by Arcadi Espada (06/12/2008)

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism organized the "Laboratory Experiences and Trends', coordinated by the professor at the University of Murcia Alfonso Galindo Hervás.

The aim of the Laboratory is to analyze experiences and practices accumulated in a given scope, trends and expectations and glimpsed in it, and this in order to show the continuities and make intelligible the changes, expectations and trends.

The Laboratory of the conviction that one way to understand the complexity of reality lies in understanding the continuity of practices and concepts of a particular social field and the break with their past.

In this first year the Laboratory has as its object of study the field of media.

To this end, we propose a series of six lectures, two per quarter.

The first one, dedicated to the TV, was held on 28 November and was given by Ex-President of the Andalusian Audiovisual Council and Professor of Communication, Manuel Ángel Vázquez Medel.

The second will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at 20:00 pm under the title 'Journalism, between the fictional and the new technologies' and will give the journalist and professor at the University Pompeu Fabra, Arcadi Espada.

From various platforms, including the newspaper 'El Mundo' and string 'Onda Cero', Espada is characterized by developing a study of the socio-political means.

Their concerns about the tyranny that threatens fictionalist realistic vocation of journalism is reflected in books on various subjects such as "Raval" (2000), 'Journals' 2004 (2005), his last essay 'Practical Journalism' (2008).
