Students of Art History at the University of Murcia held a procession in honor of San Eloy, the patron saint of goldsmiths, within the activities organized during the festival.
The procession left the Merced campus and headed to the church of San Bartolomé, where they worship an image of the holy book housed.
The procession was greeted at the entrance of the temple by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, and the rector of Students, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, in his capacity as maid of honor.
Once in the temple ceremony proceeded to the holy offerings of the faithful against the appointment of honor, which went to the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, and shelf of honor in the person of journalist Antonio Botia .
The ceremony also included the traditional delivery of pence by the Rector of the University of Murcia.
