IU + Greens in the city of Murcia file a motion to the House of 27th November, requesting that the free public bus transport in urban lines dependent on local government in 2009.
This was announced today the Councillor of the leftist coalition in the consistory of the capital, Esther Herguedas, who explained that this proposal constitutes a "pilot" which aimed "to encourage public transport use among the population."
He added that this will help to "move toward a funding model for public transport seen as social and environmental needs, and to reflect on" what has been done to improve mobility in Murcia. "
Also criticized Herguedas rate increase of the bus ticket as the company Latbus-charge of public transport in that means of locomotion, "will receive a grant of 10.5 million euros next year."
"Since Pedro Antonio Ríos, former councilor of the consistory Traffic Murcia-created bus lane on the Gran Via, has not done anything in this area," said the mayor of IU + Greens after expressing his commitment to "efficiency public bus service in Murcia. "
Along with this proposal, IU + Greens raise the plenary municipal district four motions relating to Rosales, the Christmas lights, the Bologna process and several schools.
