The work, which has been rehabilitated by the Center for Restoration of the Region of Murcia, is a carving of the eighteenth century polychrome and gilded wood, sculpture dating from the repertoire of the first ten years of maturity by the sculptor Murcia.
The 'Immaculate Conception of the Isabella', as it is popularly known, responds to the traditional iconography of the Apocalypse derived Marian; on a cloud and the crescent stands the figure of the Virgin Mary adorned with rich white robe and blue cloak that inflates, moved by a subtle breeze.
