This morning, Immigration advises the Government Delegation in Murcia, Lola Jara, inaugurated the exhibition "Diversity in You" which is part of the Permanent Awareness Campaign being conducted by the Association Columbares since 1999 in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Immigration and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.

As a result of this collaboration, we have developed different tools to support social awareness and create a foundation that will enable communication and exchange between different cultures living in the Region of Murcia, and the recognition of differences in walking to a society increasingly diverse and plural.

Specifically, the project presented in the Mall Thader, Murcia, has received funding this year of 115,000 euros from the Ministry of Labour and Immigration, through the Directorate of Integration of Immigrants in the context of deIntegración area grants for immigrants, asylum seekers and other persons under international protection in order, in this case, to promote collective social integration of immigrants.

Lola Jara said that "the integration of immigrants is a major commitment of the Government of Spain."

As shown recalled that the Region of Murcia has been receiving since 2005 for funding that has gone from 7.5 to 12.3 million euros this year to the Support Fund for the Reception and Integration of Immigrants and the educational effort.

While the increase is even more significant when compared with EUR 7.5 million was spent in 2004 on cooperation with the Autonomous Communities in the integration.

Murcia came specifically to € 400,000 that year.

This represents an increase of 3000%.

Furthermore, Immigration Adviser of the Delegation of the Government has stressed that "it is essential that the funds for integration is taking actions that promote a model of society respectful of cultural differences and human rights, and to strengthen and utilities to accommodate this new reality, especially Education.

As Lola Jara-rinse-integration of these policies are acting preemptively against marginalization. "
