A documentary reconstructs three-dimensional scenarios of medieval Murcia (11/11/2008)

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Inmaculada García, presented the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, 1,000 copies of the dvd 'Murcia Medieval', by the Integra Foundation.

Garcia stated that this act "illustrates one of the Regional Government to maintain and spread our heritage and our history" and emphasized the importance of this documentary work since "The region is rich in history and stories as part of our heritage and cultural heritages that we bequeath to future generations. "

'Medieval Murcia', is part of a series of DVD entitled 'Medieval Lances Murcia', held in the framework of the Crimson, which now has the dedicated to Lorca, Yecla, Jumilla, Moratalla and Aledo.

'Murcia' medieval virtually reconstructed in three dimensions the critical stages of the medieval history of the city as a whole palate of Monteagudo, Alcazar Track or the cathedral of Murcia in the late fifteenth century, as well as key figures of this period, as Ibn Hud, Alfonso X the Wise and Don Juan Manuel and events that shaped the future of Murcia during the Middle Ages, as its foundation in 825, the Treaty of Alcaraz in 1243 or the visit of the Catholic Kings to town in 1488 .

Garcia explained that "this reconstruction is an example of how to use new technologies to disseminate and preserve our heritage and our historical roots."

The documentary, 27 minutes long, contains several specific videos that include interviews with experts and virtual spaces that allow interactive tour places like the Arab Baths and the walled city.
