Craft Center hosts Murcia since last Monday a glass workshop course, which involved 15 students, organized jointly with the Association of Glaziers of Santa Lucia, and part of the initiative that the Ministry of Universities, Business Research and Regional Centers offer Craft, intended to publicize and transmit the knowledge of the artisans of the region, so that these offices continue.
The Department intends this action to be implemented through the Directorate General of Trade and Crafts, convert the Regional Centres Crafts lively and dynamic places, where they engage in activities that give publicity to the regional crafts.
The aim of this course, taught by craftsmen Riquelme Manuel Gil and Francisco García Romero, president and secretary of the Association of Glaziers of Santa Lucia, in addition to José Reina, is to teach and raise awareness about all aspects of the initiation to size glass in its various forms, using an eminently practical and very educational, so that students become familiar with this craft arrived.
Participants will learn until the next November 19, among other specialties, carving and engraving lathe-special pencil.
The course is aimed at anyone interested in learning the rudiments of carving glass, but mainly students from the School of Design, Art Students, glaziers craftsmen, artisans and people in general wanting to specialize in this job craftsman.
