An agreement between the Council and the Directorate General of Local Government allow Murcia have more and better infrastructure.
The Governing Board has given its approval to this agreement between the two agencies and will be signed soon.
The Basic Municipal Infrastructure Plan includes the construction of the first phase of New Avenue Beniaján and various sports facilities in all districts of the City of Murcia.
To make this possible, be invested 5,494,000 euros, of which 3,846,154 euros bring the Autonomous Community.
Thus, the arterial axis of the new Avenida de Beniaján involve an investment of EUR 3,027,081 (of which 2,118,957 are subsidized by the CARM) while the construction of sports facilities in districts of the countryside of Murcia will cost 2,467,424 Euros (1,727,197 euros from the Autonomous Community).
The new Avenida de Murcia Beniaján join this parish, becoming an alternative to the road to Dolores.
This road, which will be parallel to the river Segura, cross the Avenida Miguel Indurain, and when you reach the Round of Levante will turn 90 degrees, meaning Beniaján.
At the intersection with Miguel Indurain will be a roundabout heading.
Note that this new road will be another option to the existing road from Los Dolores, which currently has a capacity of 15,000 vehicles per day, reaching peak collapse.
Beniaján Avenue, 2,750 meters long, will have two lanes in each direction and a central median, and absorb a traffic volume of 43,000 vehicles a day, a figure that nearly triples the current space of the road to Dolores.
On the other hand, new sports facilities covered by this agreement will be built in all villages of the countryside of Murcia, ranging in type according to the needs of each parish.
