Olympic canoeing champion, Carlos Pérez Rial, recently visited the UCAM.
The Galician rower, who won the gold medal in Beijing 2008, in the form of double kayak (K-2) 500 meters, with Saul Craviotto, toured the campus facilities and the Popular TV, accompanied by his coach , Miguel Garcia and the director of the Sports Service of the Catholic University, Paul Rosique.
Then, the Olympic medalist, had a brief meeting with the President of the Catholic University José Luis Mendoza.
Pérez Rial was very interested in the sport developed by the Catholic University and stressed the importance of promoting sports in the university.
For his part, Mendoza said the Athlete UCAM educational project, and highlighted the strong commitment of the university and the sport.
