La Unión Musical de Torre Pacheco yesterday was winning the third section (bands and 50 musicians) of XVIII Bands Competition "Ciudad de Murcia", an event which held its first meeting yesterday at the Regional Auditorio "Victor Villegas".

The second prize went to the Music Study Center Almàssera (Valencia) and in third place was Catarroja Musical Union Society, also in Valencia.

The XVIII Bands Competition continues next weekend with the participation of the bands second and first sections.

More than a thousand people attended yesterday's celebration of this first session.
