The regional government president, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today outlined the Government's commitment to the region with young people to "have the same access conditions for quality housing, as they have done more than 10,000 young people in the Region in a policy, he said, to "carry forward, with which we welcome initiatives like the Youth Cooperative Future."
Valcárcel made the remarks after the ceremony for the first 176 housing units of the cooperative Young Futura, situated in the hamlet of Espinardo Murcia, which covers a total of 1,229 apartments in nine blocks for young people under 35 years.
In this event, attended by the Minister of Public Works, José Ballesta, and the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, and after visiting some of the floors of the first block of the promotion, Valcárcel president reiterated that "implies a of the most important initiatives undertaken in the region to facilitate access to housing for young people, with the advantage of being officially protected public floors, with affordable, very comprehensive and high quality. "
All homes have a garage, cellar, three bedrooms, air conditioning preinstalled private common area with pool and playground.
In particular, this first block, the floors have an area of between 78 and 89 square meters, with a total price, including garage and storage, ranging from 94,459 to 101,742 euros.
Also, all owners of the promotion of housing for young people can benefit from a series of advantages for its acquisition, through a subsidization of loans that reduce the financial cost of the mortgage between 480 and 1,320 euros per household per year, depending on income.
Also eligible for aid granted by the Autonomous Community, which range between 2,000 and 3,700 euros, and for the Ministry of Housing.
The Young Future housing cooperative started with a provisional rating of 977 housing units, which later expanded to reach 1,329.
According to the timetable for delivery of other dwellings, the next phase is planned for later this year, and following different dates of 2009 through spring 2010.
Housing Plan
The regional chief executive explained that, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, have been ongoing for more than 13,000 housing units over the past five years, similar to which began to be delivered today.
Of these, 78 percent, more than 10,000 have been aimed at young people under 35 years through the various housing schemes managed by the regional government.
Specifically, in the last three years, from 191 million for the Housing Plan, 112 million euros are to facilitate the acquisition of housing, and 99 million (12 funds from the Community and the rest of the Housing Plan) which have been designed specifically for youth under 35, which also have been granted facilities to rehabilitate their homes and rent apartments.
Furthermore, only in the last six months, there have been nearly 3,000 applications for provisional classification of new public housing.
Also, there are now housing units under construction, contract or writing projects through the Institute of Housing and Lands in 17 municipalities, and have qualified or delivered in virtually all municipalities in the Region Murcia.
