The Botanical Garden of The Pier will become a great stage for the popularization of science in the VIII Week of Science and Technology (30/10/2008)

The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, this morning the eighth edition of the Week of Science and Technology in the Region of Murcia from 6 to 9 November convert the Malecon Garden Murcia on a big stage for scientific publication.

Most of the 300 activities, including demonstrations, workshops, experiments, exhibitions, puppet theater and scientists, visitors, tour botanical scientific magic, fun and planetary science, among others, will focus on the campus of The Pier and has a strong educational and recreational.

To accommodate this wide range, it will install 70 stands, six more than last year, five tents, a planetarium, a scientific child care, a great stage for the scientific and puppet theater, and three exhibition areas.

Specifically, the Fair is organized into six major areas: @ rquímedes on engineering, ICT and innovation, Galileo, mathematics, physics, astronomy, Cajal, aimed at biology, nutrition and health; Keynes, for businesses, Darwin, chemistry and environment, and Florida, the social sciences.

In total, 47 institutions are participating, nine more than in the previous edition, including universities, research centers, foundations, academies, professional associations, museums, high schools, technology centers, hospitals, businesses, popular science, business departments R & D and Public Administration.

Internationalization

Ephemeris

The Week of Science and Technology held a major exhibition and various activities of the International Year of Planet Earth, and thus highlight the importance of Earth Sciences for a more rational exploitation of the planet's resources and the protection of populations human and the environment.
